Friday 6 March 2026 6th March - Book Day Year 4 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The day was full of creativity, reading and lots of fun activities.

Friday 27 February 2026 27th February - Spy Booklet This week in Year 4, we have been learning about life in Britain before the Roman invasion.

Friday 13 February 2026 13th February - Roman Mosaics! This week in Year 4, we became Roman artists! We have been learning about the amazing Romans and how they created beautiful mosaics to decorate their homes, especially in places like Ancient Rome and the city of Pompeii that we learnt about in PE.

Friday 6 February 2026 6th February - Number Day! Year 4 had a brilliant time celebrating Number Day. In the morning, we worked together to solve a mystery about some missing glue sticks! We worked in groups to find out which child had taken the glue sticks.

Friday 23 January 2026 23rd January - St Alban's Verulamium Last week, Year 4 went on a school trip to Verulamium in St Albans. We went to see the ruins of the Roman theatre and learned about its history. It was exciting to stand where Romans stood a long time ago.

Friday 16 January 2026 16th January - LEGO Stem Workshop This week, Year 4 had an exciting LEGO STEM workshop at school! We had lots of fun while using our problem-solving skills and teamwork skills.

Friday 12 September 2025 12th September - Predictions and more! We've had a fantastic first week in Year 4! We have started to explore the graphic novel 'Arthur and the Golden Rope'. We looked at the front cover and the world map of our new book. We used these clues to make predictions about what the story might be about. From the cover, we thought about the title, pictures and the characters. We shared relevant questions as a class that would help us find out more about the book. The map helped us imagine where the characters might go and what adventures they might have. We worked in groups to form our predictions, sharing our thoughts and questions about the story.
