28th November - Bhaktivedanta Manor

As part of our RE learning, we were lucky enough to visit Bhaktivedanta Manor, where we enjoyed an exciting and immersive day learning all about Hinduism.

During our visit, we learnt about the different Hindu gods and goddesses and listened to the stories and meanings behind them. This helped us deepen our understanding of Hindu beliefs and why these deities are important in Hindu worship and culture.

One of the highlights of the trip was the opportunity to dress up in traditional clothing. We wore saris and turbans, and some of us even dressed as Hindu gods and goddesses, which helped bring our learning to life in a fun and memorable way.

We walked around the grounds and went on a cart ride pulled by oxen. We learned a lot about the animals on the farm and their purpose. We even got to feed the cows!

At lunchtime, we enjoyed a delicious paneer curry together in the main hall. After eating, we were able to join in with traditional dancing, learning some symbolic actions and rhythms. To finish the day, we had our faces painted, which everyone really enjoyed.

The trip was a fantastic experience that allowed us to learn in a hands-on and engaging way. We all came away with a greater understanding of Hindu culture and beliefs, as well as lots of happy memories from the day.
