16th January - LEGO Stem Workshop
This week, Year 4 had an exciting LEGO STEM workshop at school! We had lots of fun while using our problem-solving skills and teamwork skills.
First, we worked with a partner to build our LEGO robot. We followed the instructions step by step and took turns reading the instructions, finding the correct blocks, and building the robot. Sometimes it was tricky, but we helped each other and didn’t give up.

Next, we learned how to code our robot. We worked together to program it to travel to the numbers 1 to 5 on our mat. We had to think carefully about how to make the robot move forwards, turn, and stop in the right place. At the end, we even programmed our robot to do a victory song and dance!

We really enjoyed the LEGO STEM workshop and learned that teamwork and problem-solving are very important. We felt proud of what we achieved together and had an amazing time learning in a fun way.
