21st November - Enterprise Week!

This week, our school was buzzing with creativity and teamwork as we celebrated Enterprise Week. The children took on the exciting challenge of creating and running their own small business, learning valuable real-world skills along the way.

Our main product was a custom-designed tote bag. The children worked hard to design eye-catching ideas, thinking carefully about colours, logos and messages that would appeal to customers. To bring these designs to life, we painted the tote bags using fabric paint, and used templates with different designs to help us create neat, professional-looking patterns. This allowed everyone to take part and produce a high-quality finished product.

Once the designs were complete, we moved on to the business side of things by calculating prices, considering costs and deciding how much to charge to make a profit while still being fair.

To make the project manageable, we split into teams, with each team given a specific role. Some teams focused on designing stall signs and posters to promote our product, while others worked on planning the layout of the room for the big day, deciding where stalls, displays and customers would move.

Another important part of Enterprise Week was market research. The children conducted surveys around the school, asking pupils and staff how much they would be willing to pay for the tote bags. This helped us make informed pricing decisions and understand our customers’ opinions.

On the day itself, the room looked fantastic, filled with colourful posters, clear pricing and confident sales teams ready to explain their product. The children showed excellent teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills throughout the week.

Enterprise Week was a great success and thank you to all parents and carers who made it!
