23rd January - St Alban's Verulamium

Last week, Year 4 went on a school trip to Verulamium in St Albans. We went to see the ruins of the Roman theatre and learned about its history. It was exciting to stand where Romans stood a long time ago.

We also visited the museum and took part in a workshop. We looked at real Roman artefacts and had to work out what they were used for. The artefacts were on different tables with different themes, like bathroom items, looking good, and building tools. We even got to handle them, which was really interesting.

After that, we went around the museum and looked at lots of different Roman coins, mosaics, and learned about the jobs Romans used to do.
