Literacy - drama

This week in year 5 we have enjoyed reading our new book in literacy: Boy in the Tower.

We read the text as a class. Then, in pairs, highlighted the vocabulary that showed what the bluchers looked like, how they behaved, why they were dangerous and what they feed on.

Using this vocabulary, we acted out a telephone scene as Ade looking out at the bluchers below. We used description, such as precise nouns and verbs to help the listener visualise and empathise with what was happening.
