Wednesday 21 October 2026 Friday 16th October - are spaces really empty? The children performed excellently in our Harvest Assembly this week. They really enjoyed making their own maracas to accompany our Harvest song, and I was super impressed with their fantastic singing and enthusiastic actions. They performed with such confidence and enthusiasm, and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves. Well done, Year 4! 🌾🎶

Friday 11 September 2026 Friday 11th September - Full week of fun! What a lovely, full week we have had in Year 4! The children have been busy learning, creating and sharing their ideas across all areas of the curriculum, and we are so proud of the enthusiasm they have shown.

Friday 4 September 2026 Friday 4th September - Welcome back! What a fantastic start to the new school year we have had! The children have settled back into school routines superbly and have made a brilliant start to Year 4. I have been so impressed with how quickly they have adapted to their new routines, expectations and learning.

Friday 13 March 2026 Friday 13th - Is it a conductor? At the start of our science lesson, we made predictions about which materials we thought would conduct electricity and which would insulate electricity. We talked about our ideas and explained why we thought certain materials would work in a circuit.

Friday 6 March 2026 6th March - Book Day Year 4 had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day! The day was full of creativity, reading and lots of fun activities.

Friday 27 February 2026 27th February - Spy Booklet This week in Year 4, we have been learning about life in Britain before the Roman invasion.

Friday 13 February 2026 13th February - Roman Mosaics! This week in Year 4, we became Roman artists! We have been learning about the amazing Romans and how they created beautiful mosaics to decorate their homes, especially in places like Ancient Rome and the city of Pompeii that we learnt about in PE.

Friday 6 February 2026 6th February - Number Day! Year 4 had a brilliant time celebrating Number Day. In the morning, we worked together to solve a mystery about some missing glue sticks! We worked in groups to find out which child had taken the glue sticks.

Friday 23 January 2026 23rd January - St Alban's Verulamium Last week, Year 4 went on a school trip to Verulamium in St Albans. We went to see the ruins of the Roman theatre and learned about its history. It was exciting to stand where Romans stood a long time ago.
