Friday 23rd October - Flipbook fun and amazing Art

In Maths, the children have been working incredibly hard to develop their understanding of the column method. They have been practising adding and subtracting 4-digit numbers, including calculations that involve more than one exchange. It has been wonderful to see their perseverance and growing confidence as they tackle these challenges!
In Art, the children produced some fantastic drawings, using proportion, tone and texture to bring their artwork to life. They really enjoyed experimenting with different techniques to make everyday objects look three-dimensional. I was so impressed with their creativity and the wonderful results!
In Computing, the children put their animation skills to the test by creating their very own flipbooks. They thoroughly enjoyed bringing their ideas to life and exploring how a sequence of drawings can create the illusion of movement. There were lots of fantastic ideas and creative animations!
Finally, it was so lovely to see you all at Parents’ Evening. It was a pleasure to share the children’s achievements and discuss the fantastic start to the year they have made. Thank you for your continued support!
I hope you all have a lovely, relaxing half term. The children have worked so hard and thoroughly deserve a well-earned break. Enjoy your time together, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back for another exciting half term!
