Friday 4th September - Welcome back!

What a fantastic start to the new school year we have had! The children have settled back into school routines superbly and have made a brilliant start to Year 4. I have been so impressed with how quickly they have adapted to their new routines, expectations and learning.

In Computing, we have been exploring the exciting world of animation. The children have been learning about 2D animation and have had the opportunity to create their very own animated stories. They have worked incredibly hard and produced some fabulous animations that they should be very proud of!

In Literacy, we have started our new book, The Tree and the River. We began by carefully looking at the front cover and sharing our thoughts and ideas. The children discussed what they liked and disliked about the cover and came up with some fantastic questions about what might happen in the story. It has been wonderful to see their curiosity and enthusiasm already.

I am very much looking forward to working with this class again and seeing all the wonderful things they will achieve throughout the year. I am already super impressed with how brilliantly they have settled into Year 4, and I couldn't be prouder of the positive attitude they have shown.
