World book day 2026!
Year 5 had a great day celebrating world book day 2026!
The children came dressed in characters from books we have read in class. There was: Anglo Saxons; scientists; a dinosaur; the golden ticket, oompa loompa’s and violet from Charlie and the chocolate factory; famous people from biographies and characters from more books the children have read this year.
Throughout the day, the children enjoyed writing book reviews, creating story comics, participating in the BBC live lesson, designing bookmarks and a whole school assembly, where they discovered which teachers had been disguised as the mask readers.
It has been great to see the children’s enthusiasm for reading.
