Literacy – Biographies

This week we have continued our literacy unit on biographies. We looked as a class at an extract of J, K Rowling. Our objective was to find out what the main pieces of information were about her life so we could create a timeline. At first, we read the extract together as a class and highlighted any important pieces of information that we thought might be relevant and suitable to add to our work.

Next, we modelled how this might look in a note form before practising some of our own. After this, we worked in our table partners and created our own timelines for the life of J, K Rowling.

It has been lovely to see the class work collaboratively, listening and sharing their ideas with one another.
