World Book Day Fun

Year 6 had a fantastic World Book Day where they came dressed as a character from a book we have read in class. Many children came as Stanley from Holes, we had a couple of Nixies from Arthur Spiderwick and we even had a Gargoyle!

Throughout the day were many exciting activities such as reading to their Reception buddies, teacher read swap, creating their own book marks and writing some book reviews about which books they would recommend to their friends.

However, the highlight of the day was during assembly when we held our own version of 'The Masked Reader.' Two teachers (Mrs Clewley and Ms Jones) dressed in giant egg costumes and read an extract to the school. Children had to guess who they were before the big 'Take it off' reveal! What a day to remember!
