Still-life Art
Just before the half term holidays, we had Art Week where we developed our understanding of how to compose and paint a still-life painting. The children sketched the forms quite accurately and were beginning to use perspective to draw objects behind and in front of each other. We used a variety of techniques such as cross-hatching, stippling and blending to create texture and shading. To paint our still-life replicates, we used watercolours and started to create shades and tints to make them look three-dimensional
You will be stunned by Noel’s realistic mangoes and Farah’s stunning sunflowers!
