Marathon Runner!

This term in Literacy, we have been learning how to write biographies and we were lucky enough to interview an inspirational lady who has run the London Marathon three times - our very own Year 5 Teacher, Miss Jones!

She told us all about her gruelling training regime and that her record time was an impressive 3 hours, 20 minutes! The last marathon, she ran with her dad who is 67 years of age - what an achievement!

The children then wrote a short biography about her impressive achievements including details, key dates and times, formal language and a variety of punctuation such as colons and semi-colons.
