Friday 30th January - super spreadsheets

In geography, the children learned all about the difference between weather and climate. We looked at pictures of Kenya and talked about what the weather might be like there at different times of the year. The children then became weather reporters and created their very own weather reports about Kenya. They did a fantastic job explaining when would be the best time to visit if you wanted hot sunshine or lots of rainfall!

In computing, we have been exploring spreadsheets. The children learned how spreadsheets can be used to complete calculations automatically and enjoyed seeing how numbers can change by themselves when information is updated. They were very impressed with this new skill!

This week was also a special and slightly sad one, as it was our last week with Mr Waggeh in the classroom. We have loved having him with us and will miss him very much as he goes off to university to continue his teacher training. We would like to say a big thank you to Mr Waggeh for all his hard work and support in Year 2. We wish him lots of luck for the future!

Well done, Year 2, for another brilliant week of learning 🌟

Have a lovely weekend all,

Mrs Clewley
