Friday 22nd May - Seaside fun!
What a Wonderful End to the Half Term!
What a wonderful last week of the half term we had in Year 2!
To consolidate our learning about the seaside, we enjoyed a fantastic day in school thanks to History Off the Page. The day was packed with exciting seaside-themed activities. We made seashell boxes, visited the bank to exchange and learn about old money, wrote postcards, made puppets, enjoyed some café fun and even painted our own mugs.
In the afternoon, we took a trip to the pier using the old money we had collected from the bank. We had great fun playing traditional seaside games such as Hook-a-Duck and Roll-a-Penny. We also spent our money at the café, visited the private beach, bought souvenirs and even had photographs taken at the seaside!
It was a fantastic day and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was wonderful to see them so engaged and enthusiastic throughout the day.
A HUGE thank you to all of our parent helpers who took time out of their day to support us. Your help was greatly appreciated and helped make the day such a success. Thank you so much!
I hope you all have a wonderful half term and enjoy the lovely warm weather.
