Friday 21st November - Exciting Enterprise Week!

What an incredible week it has been in Year 2! Our classroom has been buzzing with creativity, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit as the children transformed into young entrepreneurs for our very special Enterprise Week.

Throughout the week, the children took full ownership of preparing for their big show. They began by creating bright, eye-catching posters designed to entice visitors to come along and support their business. Their ideas were imaginative, colourful, and full of enthusiasm!

Next, the children wrote their own job applications, thinking carefully about the strengths and qualities they could bring to the team. It was wonderful to see them reflect on what makes them unique and confident applicants. They also worked together to decide what they should wear for the big day, ensuring their outfits matched the theme and helped set the scene for their performance.

As a team, Year 2 choreographed their very own dance routine, showing fantastic cooperation and creativity. But they didn’t stop there! They decided that no show is complete without refreshments, so they rolled up their sleeves and baked delicious cheerleading-themed cookies to sell. The classroom smelled amazing, and the children were so proud of their tasty creations.

To make their business truly successful, the children also worked together to create a pricing list, learning how to consider costs, income, and profit. Their teamwork and problem-solving skills shone through as they made important decisions about how much to charge for their products.

I have been super impressed with the children’s engagement, effort, and teamwork every single day. The excitement in the classroom has been contagious, and they have approached every challenge with enthusiasm and pride. They worked incredibly hard to make sure their business—and their show—were absolutely perfect.
