Friday 12th December - music and more!!
Last week in Year 2, we became historians once again! We explored what hospitals were like in the past and compared them to hospitals today. It was fascinating to see how much has changed over time. We learned about the important work of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole and how their actions helped to improve hospital conditions for patients and nurses.
In literacy, we focused on letter writing. We wrote our own letters to someone new, explaining all about ourselves. The children worked hard to use exciting vocabulary and interesting statements to engage their readers, and the results were wonderful.
At the beginning of the week, we also had the pleasure of watching the Rock Steady concert. We were super impressed with the children who performed so confidently on stage. They showed fantastic musicality and truly entertained the whole school. Well done to all of you – you were amazing!
Have a lovely weekend all,
Mrs Clewley
