We have had a fantastic start back after the Christmas break and have jumped straight into lots of exciting learning! In Literacy, we have begun exploring instructions by planning recipes and making party food for the Gruffalo and all of his friends. We will even be writing our own party invitations – we hope the Gruffalo is ready to celebrate!

In Science, we are continuing our learning about materials. We have enjoyed grouping and sorting different objects and had to put our thinking caps on when looking at a pair of glasses, as they can be made from lots of different materials at the same time. 

In PE, we have started our new topic of gymnastics. We have been practising basic shapes such as star, pike and tuck, and showing off our super strength and balance. We are excited to keep improving and to learn from the brilliant gymnasts in our class who have lots of experience outside of school.
