9th January - Alice in Wonderland

In Literacy, we explored the narrative Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. We began by discussing what we already knew about the story and imagined Alice in our minds, using adjectives to describe her appearance and how she might be feeling. We then explored Wonderland and talked about the other exciting and unusual characters Alice meets. After that, we focused on the White Rabbit’s journey past Alice and down the magical hole. We acted out this scene together, which the children really enjoyed. Using this, we created our own story maps in our books to plot the White Rabbit’s journey.
