5th December - Arctic Explorers

This week, in Geography, the children became Arctic Explorers investigating how climate change is affecting wildlife in the Arctic Circle.

Each group created a fact file about one species which inhabits the Arctic Circle such as the Caribou, Polar Bear, Arctic Hare, Arctic Fox and Beluga Whale. They researched how that species is being impacted by climate change which is causing the polar ice caps to melt, sadly destroying many of their habitats thus diminishing their food sources.

Finally, they presented their eye-catching and informative fact-files to the class and we all learnt some fascinating but concerning facts about these animals!
