4th September - Fantastic first week in Year 1!

What a fantastic first week we have had! It has been so lovely to see all of the children again and hear about all of their summer adventures. I cannot believe how they have grown and changed over the holidays!

 The children have been incredibly impressive with their readiness to learn! They have settled into their new classroom and routines so well and have shown enthusiasm and curiosity about our new learning journey.

 We have started our new Maths unit, Numbers to 10. The children enjoyed grouping different objects to start this topic. They have even been reflecting this in their play!

 In our first PE lesson we started developing our ball skills, practising different ways of moving the ball with our body. The children enjoyed making different shapes and counting the number of movements they could make with the balls.

 We have also had lots of time to play and explore our new classroom. The children have loved discovering the different areas, exploring the new toys and learning how to use new resources.

 We can't wait to continue our learning journey together!
