27th March - Easter Hot Cross Buns

During DT Week, we learned all about wheat and how it is used in baking. We explored famous bakers such as Paul Hollywood and Nadiya Hussain, and discovered the history behind hot cross buns. We also learned about the ingredients and equipment needed to make them, designed our own hot cross buns, and understood the method step by step. On Friday morning, we put everything we had learned into action and made our own hot cross buns by following ten clear instructions. We then took them home to share and enjoy, I hope you loved them! If you would like to make your own at home, I have included the ingredients and method at the bottom!
