27th February - Muscle memory!

In our science lesson this week, we learned all about how our bodies move. We explored the important jobs of muscles, tendons, and joints, and discovered how they work together to help us move in different ways. We took part in fun exercises around the room to find out which muscles we were using, such as in our arms and legs, and we talked about how they felt when they were working, sometimes tight or strong! We also watched a video and discussed some important questions. We learned that tendons attach muscles to bones, that muscles make the leg move by tightening and pulling on the bones, and that joints allow the leg to bend so we can move easily. It was exciting to learn how our bodies work and to feel our muscles in action!

Just a reminder, it is World Book Day on Thursday 5th March. Please see the letter sent home to find out about all of the exciting things we are taking part in and keep an eye out for next weeks blog to see the fun we have!

Have a lovely weekend.
