25th September - Blooming in our learning!

The children have continued to impress me this week with their enthusiasm for learning, I am so proud of how brilliantly they have settled into Year 1!

In PSHE, we talked about feeling safe and explored the people, places and things that help us to feel safe and special.

In History, we continued our exciting Toys topic, comparing toys from the past and present and thinking of questions we could ask people who played with these toys.

In Literacy, we began our new book 'Jasper's Beanstalk'. The children have enjoyed learning to recite the story with actions! This week they have been busy labelling flowers, using their phonics to sound out words and carefully thinking about the different parts of a flower.
