19th September - Wonderful Writing

We’ve had another fantastic week in Year 2, and I continue to be so impressed with the children’s enthusiasm and effort!

In Literacy, the class have been doing some super writing all about the characters and scenes in our current story. The children have been using conjunctions and adjectives to add detail and interest to their work, and it’s been lovely to see their confidence grow. They’ve also been working hard on their handwriting – the focus and care they’re putting into their presentation is really shining through!

In Maths, we’ve been learning to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes and to the hour. It’s a tricky concept, but the children are showing great perseverance. With continued practice, I’m confident their understanding will go from strength to strength.

Well done, Year 2 – keep up the fantastic work!
