19th September - Computing crazy!

What a fantastic and busy week we've had in Year 1! We have really enjoyed their Computing lessons, where they have been learning how to log in using their own usernames and passwords. 

We also had some great discussions about online safety and learnt that passwords are private and should never be shared with anyone else. The children showed great understanding and took this responsibility very seriously.

As we come to the end of our Literacy unit based on Jasper’s Beanstalk, Year 1 have been busy learning all about bossy verbs (also known as imperative verbs) and how to use them in short sentences.

To bring our learning to life, we will be following instructions to make cress heads – a fun, hands-on activity that we are really looking forward to! For this, we kindly ask for any small yoghurt pot donations to help us get creative. Please send them in clean and ready to use.
