18th September - Nature poems

This week in Literacy, Year 2 have been exploring the beautiful picture book The Tree and the River. We used the illustrations to create exciting word banks and then used our new vocabulary, alongside words containing the suffix ‘-er’, to create our own poems. The children worked hard to make their poems creative and descriptive, making this their first Big Write in Year 2!
