17th October - Viking Day

Last Friday, Year 6 had a fantastic and memorable immersive learning experience during Viking Day. The whole day was packed full of 'hands on' experiences such as visiting a Viking hospital, making Viking necklaces to ward off the evil spirits and making their own Viking candles. In the afternoon, they became real-life archaeologists where they excavated artefacts and used their knowledge to decipher what they were used for and what materials they were made out of. The day culminated in a fierce Viking battle! What a day to remember!
