14th November – Marvellous Maths

This week in year 5 we have been working very hard on our Maths learning, ensuring that we are showing our reasoning when answering questions. In particular this week, we have been looking at multiples and factors. We have worked well in talk partners and table groups to develop a strong understanding of this topic which has been highly evident when marking the children’s books. It was so lovely to see so many of you at our maths workshop yesterday, which helped you understand more about how we teach Maths at Two Waters. If you didn’t make it to the session and would like to have a copy of the slides then please do let me know.

We have a very exciting event next week, with the start of ‘Enterprise Week’. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you into the year 5 classroom for the sale of our candles, where we are very much hoping that we can make a significant profit for the class. If you do have any more small jars that you can donate to our collection we would be grateful.
