12th September - A sporty start to Year 1...

What a wonderful start to Year 1 we’ve had! The children have settled into their new routines beautifully and are already showing great independence and enthusiasm for learning.

In PE, we’ve been working on our ball control skills, focusing on dribbling with control. The children have enjoyed practising how to move the ball around different shapes and keep it close while moving – lots of fun involved!

In Science, we’ve begun exploring seasonal changes. We took a nature walk to observe the trees around our school and talked about how they will change as the seasons progress. Each child has started a seasonal diary, where they will record their observations throughout the year. We’re excited to see how our trees change from autumn to winter!

It's been a fantastic start to the term, and we can’t wait for more learning and discovery in the weeks ahead.
