10th October - It's all fun and games in Year 1...

This week in Year 1, we have been exploring the concepts of past and present as part of our history lessons. To get ready for our exciting topic about Toys: Past and Present, we talked about how the toys we played with as babies are different from the ones we enjoy now. It was fun to compare and think about how things have changed over time!

In Literacy, we’ve started reading our new book, Puffin Peter. It’s about two best friends who go on a daring adventure together. We’ve been practicing using adjectives to describe the characters’ features and personalities, helping us bring the story to life with colourful and vivid words.

In PE, we took our lesson outdoors to work on dribbling skills with our feet. We created a fun 'dribble disco', where we dribbled balls around cones whilst the music played. When the music stopped, we had to stop the ball too! It was a great way to improve our control and have lots of fun moving around together.
