10th July - Wimbledon, here we come!

We started the week with a wonderful performance from our Choir Club. They sang beautifully with lots of confidence and enthusiasm, and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. They should all be very proud of their hard work and fantastic singing.

In PE, we continued to develop our tennis skills by consolidating our forehand and backhand techniques. We focused on controlling the ball, aiming our shots, and working with a partner before putting our skills into practice during mini floor tennis matches. It was fantastic to see everyone showing great determination, improving their accuracy, and encouraging one another throughout the games.

Towards the end of the week, we had our transition morning with Miss Bulley. We spent time getting to know our new classroom, meeting the adults who will be working with us next year, and taking part in some fun activities together. It was a lovely opportunity to build our confidence and get excited about moving into Year 2. We are all looking forward to the new adventures that next year will bring!

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all the parents and carers who joined us for our Open Classroom. It was wonderful to welcome you into our classroom and share the learning we have enjoyed throughout Year 1. The children were so proud to showcase their work and talk about all they have achieved this year. Thank you for your continued support—we really appreciate it.
